Abstract:
Nowadays in wireless communication speech Coding or Speech Compression is the field Concerned for the purpose of efficient transmission or storage. The service can be improved by combining digital technology and special encoding techniques for voice. These encoders take advantage of knowable elements in human speech. At the receving end the decoding process will regenerate the original signal which is the binary information transmitted into their representative voltage levels from transmitter side. The encode-decode operation of communication shows that if a speaker and listener both share the same coded information then communication is possible. From the transmitter side the voice information is transmitted in the form of sound waves whereas at receiving end these sound waves convert back to original voice information. By such encode-decode operation, all that is required is an suitable encoding and decoding algorithm, i.e. a set of precise, unmistakable instructions for transforming a set of original information into a set of final sound waves, and vice versa.
