Maintenance is the largest single controllable expense in any industries. The approximate 80% of all machine failures associated with contamination in the oil. Any machine using oil for power transmissions, lubrication or combustion may be affected by the condition of the oil. The oil comes into contact with all moving components in the system and should be considered very important as blood as important in the human body. This research work addresses recycling of waste engine oil using settlement oil storage tank, magnetic filter, centrifuge of dirty oil and power filter system. The recycling process is developed which can provide comparable results from various conventional method. This gives the recycled oil the potential to be reused in cars engines after cleaning the oil. The base oils resulting from after recycling methods were compared to the results of this work. The comparison result show that the recycled oil produced by prepared oil cleaning method is comparable to costly recycled other methods and a low cost oil cleaner with acceptable recycled oil quality for engine lubricating system is made ready in house. This oil cleaner can be in corporate in existing lubricating system of engine for better performance.
